The Beaufortain offers 41 itineraries, two bike parks, routes designed for mountain biking and shuttles to ride all day,
The tourist offices offer maps of the trails and topo-guides (from 3 to 7.50 €), with several tips and recommendations to choose the most suitable route.
Mountain Games : Aventures immersives
Life-size escape games, or micro-adventures, with three main activities: puzzle games, physical activities and orienteering at 16 km from the campsite.
Arêches-Beaufort
Diverse and pleasant slopes for all levels. An exceptional ski area, a playground for ski touring and freeride enthusiasts.
In summer, there are 500 km of trails for mountain biking, trail riding and hiking.
Le Lac des Fées
A small limpid jewel planted in a dream setting 16 km from the campsite, the Lac de Fées offers several beautiful family hikes passing by the green slopes of the mountains and the water flowing in small streams. Allow half a day to do the walk.
Barrage de Saint-Guérin
A magnificent view of the Saint Guerin dam, a walk along the lake nearby will take you past an impressive 80m long footbridge overhanging the lake at more than 20m above the water: Beaufort in July and August.
Roselend dam
The fourth-highest dam in France, this monumental structure is used to power the La Bâthie power station in addition to the Gittaz and Saint-Guérin dams, and offers a breathtaking view of the mountains. Built between 1955 and 1962, thanks to the hard work of several thousand workers, the dam now provides not only energy, but also lovely walks and hikes, as well as an ideal fishing spot. In the summer, you may be lucky enough to come across the Tour de France…
